I really liked this - it was randomly given to me (I think) and so I read the 8th in the series first. But it made me sufficiently curious that I'd like to go back and read the rest. The sex was sort of meh and the mystery not as mysterious as it could have been, but I enjoyed the political aspect of it all.

I'll be honest. The sex has ruined this series for me. She sacrifices plot for sex and its horrible. The beginning of the series is so much better!
Though the merry series I have no problem with the sex even though it does get a bit much. Action please action, action, action!
I hear that a lot about her Anita Blake series (I've only read one) but do far I don't find it too much. It's not terribly sexy though.
